Funny how spending so much time getting to know the standards of a particular breed make you so aware of it when you do notice it. *picture from wikipedia We are getting excited to finally be able to show again. This hobby has become a team effort for us. It just so happened that only one of our daughters had anything to show for the last 2 shows. However next month, all 3 of them get to participate! This will be so fun that they can all do this together. Kait and Kami will both be showing their home bred juniors. We are all looking forward to hearing what the judges have to say about them.
Well we are officially over a year into our hobby now obsession of Holland Lops. We have grown by leaps and bounds and learned more than we ever could have imagined. When we first started we didn't care for brokens. Then we decided we did want brokens. Now that we had a litter of brokens we are back to not really loving the brokens. For me personally they are a little bit harder to evaluate. After a couple litters from Ava and Nixe we pretty much know what to expect of their kits. As for our litter from Lucy, they are the slowest growing rabbits ever. This is part of the reason they are so difficult to evaluate. We have however grown fond of a couple of them. We have both a buck and a doe that we like but for sure the little doe is staying. She's molty and still in her uglies but so far we are pleased with her type.
