Lucys' babies are just over 3 weeks old now and are such a fun bunch. It's been crazy having 6 playful babies. Lucy has been an incredible mother and probably my favorite brood doe! She is so easy going and it's clear she passed that on to her super sweet and snuggly babies. If we get them out and make kissy sounds they all come running as fast as they can and start licking all over our hands. We have decided to house them inside for now and we take them out for daily feedings which seems to be working out great.
Nixie and Fibonacci may prove to be our best cross so far. Of course it is still early as her kits are not even 2 weeks yet, but I can say for certain, this is the meatiest baby we have had in our rabbitry. It's legs show such bone and it's head is the largest I have seen in a kit so far. Now we just have to cross our fingers and hope for a great typey body to go with it. What a fun way to enter the new year, with a surprise full package. It's litter mate is also incredible looking but not quite the mass. This is also the first litter where Nixie has been very relaxed. We brought her inside to avoid any bad outcomes with the cold.
