In the age of the www everything is so mapped out for us. A friend of mine said it perfect when saying they could probably google how to perform brain surgery and accomplish it these days. That being said, I have read ALOT on rabbits and kindling. But when you get to see the behaviors for yourself... it is so much more exciting! Ava really does not care about the straw. She jumped in her nest box and dug a hole and voila job is done. Nixie however, marched about proudly with her mouth full of straw, parading around her little cage. She would stop and pose and looked so proud. After digging quite the nice burrow in her nest box she appeared to be content. Then this morning we woke up to find it perfectly lined in her nice black fur! Ava is due tomorrow and could care less about her nest box. I do hope she doesn't have them on the wire again. I'm half tempted to line her entire pen with cardboard and hay just to be safe!
